The first season of Celebrity MasterChef finished this weekend, with famous TV star Gaurav Khanna winning the award. While all the competitors performed well, Gaurav’s dish was able to impress all the judges leading him to take the trophy and cash reward. But, Tejasswi Prakash who secured the second runner-up’s position has surely taken a big step towards opening a Michelin-star restaurant in the future. The actress performed well throughout the journey on the finale day and managed to impress guest judge Sanjeev Kapoor.
In the episode, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor mentioned that he has been closely following the show and is aware of Tejasswi Prakash’s ambition to acquire a Michelin star. In a sweet gesture, he handed her his business card and encouraged her to keep in touch. Tejasswi was moved by the gesture and commented, “This is huge” and thanked Sanjeev Kapoor.
Earlier on the show, Tejasswi Prakash just won a major challenge on Celebrity MasterChef. The winning dish not only earned a place on the anniversary menu of Vikas Khanna’s New York restaurant, Bungalow, but also 10% of its profit. Tejasswi surprised the judges with her unique Dosa Bombolini, a South Indian take on the traditional Italian sweet doughnut. Instead of the conventional cream filling, her version was packed with roasted vegetables and served on a thick pumpkin gravy base, resulting in a fusion masterpiece that was an instant hit with the judges.
The show was judged by celebrity chef Ranveer Brar, Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna, and filmmaker Farah Khan. Throughout the season, fans saw prominent celebrities such as Archana Gautam, Usha Nadkarni, Dipika Kakar, Kabita Singh, Ayesha Jhulka, Abhijeet Sawant, and Chandan Prabhakar demonstrate their culinary skills.
Meanwhile, the actress got to prominence with her role in Colors TV’s Swaragini in 2015 where she co starred alongside Helly Shah. Tejasswi went on to star in a number of successful series, including Pehredar piya ki, Rishta likhenge hum naya, Karn Sangini, and others. She also participated in Bigg Boss 15.
