Delhi Capitals continued their unbeaten run in the 2025 season of the IPL with a 6-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Thursday as KL Rahul’s masterful unbeaten 93 helped the Capital City side chase down a target of 164 with 18 deliveries to spare.
DC limited RCB to a total of 163 for the loss of 7 wickets as they clawed back after a blistering Bengaluru start to curb the hosts to a modest score. Rahul produced a classic to navigate his way to a win after the Delhi top order collapsed early. Tristan Stubbs stood in support of his teammate at the crease to see the side to a triumph.
DC leggie Kuldeep Yadav demonstrated his abilities yet again as he managed to remove two RCB batters with his crafty deliveries as he showed opposition skipper Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma the way back to the dugout to climb into the top 10 of the IPL 2025 Purple Cap rankings.
Chennai Super Kings spinner Noor Ahmed leads the table for the highest wicket-takers this season with 11 scalps, followed by Gujarat Titans’ Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj, CSK seamer Khaleel Ahmed, and Mumbai Indians skipper Hardik Pandya, who have struck ten times each. DC’s Mitchell Starc, who did no claim any wickets on the day stands sixth, ahead of Lucknow Super Giants’ Shardul Thakur with 9 wickets each.
