Hrithik Roshan opens up about making his directorial debut with Krrish 4: ‘I can’t tell you how nervous I am’ | Hindi Movie News – The Times of India

Hrithik Roshan has officially confirmed that he will be making his directorial debut with the highly anticipated Krrish 4. While his father, filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, had earlier revealed the news, Hrithik addressed the speculation himself during an event in Atlanta, Georgia, putting all rumours to rest.
Hrithik admits he’s nervous about stepping behind the camera
When asked on stage if he could confirm he was directing the next Krrish film, the actor smiled and said, “You already know.” Admitting that the task ahead was daunting, Hrithik added, “I can’t tell you how nervous I am. I need all the encouragement I possibly can.” As the audience broke into applause and cheers, Hrithik graciously responded, “I’ll take all the love back with me.”
The video clip of Hrithik making the announcement soon went viral, with fans flooding social media with congratulatory messages. One fan tweeted, “And the man himself confirmed that he’s directing #Krrish4. You’ll do amazing—I knew it!” Another wrote, “Really excited to see Hrithik the director in Krrish 4,” while a third said, “Can’t wait for his debut as a director.”
Rakesh Roshan earlier announced Hrithik’s new role
A few days earlier, Rakesh Roshan had shared a heartfelt post on Instagram, announcing Hrithik’s new journey behind the camera. Sharing a picture with his son, he wrote, “Duggu, 25 years ago I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers—Aditya Chopra and myself—to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar, with good wishes and blessings!”
Krrish 4 marks the fourth chapter in the blockbuster superhero saga that began with Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), followed by Krrish (2006) and Krrish 3 (2013). The films, known for introducing India’s first mainstream superhero, have featured a recurring cast of Hrithik Roshan in the lead, with actors like Preity Zinta, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, and Vivek Oberoi joining across the series.

Besides working on Krrish 4, Hrithik is also gearing up to return as Major Kabir Dhaliwal in War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji. The film also stars Jr NTR in his Bollywood debut as the antagonist, with Kiara Advani playing the female lead. War 2 is scheduled to hit cinemas on August 14.
