GUJCET is conducted in pen-and-paper mode. The GUJCET 2025 question paper consisted of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology. The paper included a total of 120 questions, with 40 questions from each subject. As per the marking scheme, for each correct answer, candidates will earn one mark, while a penalty of 0.25 marks will be deducted for incorrect responses.

The GUJCET 2025 marks versus percentile calculation will include boards such as GSEB, CBSE, ICSE, and NIOS. The admission process for undergraduate (UG) engineering courses will allocate 40 per cent weightage to the GUJCET score and 60 per cent to the Class 12 marks.

Candidates should note that the JEE Main 2025 will not substitute the GUJCET exam for admission to engineering and pharmacy programmes. Students appearing for the GSEB HSC exams who wish to pursue a Degree in Engineering or Degree/Diploma Pharmacy courses must qualify for the GUJCET 2025 to gain admission to institutes within the state.

Candidates who clear the examination will be eligible for admission to numerous engineering and pharmacy degree and diploma programmes offered by colleges throughout Gujarat. Those who pass the exam will be notified for further counselling and must pay the admission fee to reserve their spot.
