The internet is a place for weird hobbies, but just when you think it cannot get more weird, it does. This time, a girl has gone viral on social media for a bizarre hobby: collecting dead mosquitoes.
We are not kidding at all! This girl collects the mosquitoes she has killed and has them categorised by name, time and the place of death. The video, shared by Akansha Rawat on Instagram, has garnered more than five million views on the platform.
The video starts with the cameraperson pointing towards another girl and saying, “Logo ke itne ajeeb shauk hote hain na aur iske itne ajeeb shauk hain. Ruko main tumko dikhaati hoon (People have such strange hobbies and she has the strangest of them all. Let me show you.”
She then shows us a sheet of paper where the dead mosquitoes were taped to. These mosquitoes have been given names like ‘Sigma Boi’, ‘Ramesh’, ‘Babli’ and ‘Tinku’ among others. The girl’s weird hobby left her companions both impressed and concerned, with one calling her a “psycho”.
The reel sparked a torrent of hilarious comments on the platform. “Pura machar samaj dara hua hai (The entire mosquito community is in fear),” wrote one user. Another said, “Khoon chusne wale mosquito female hoti hai. Pr naam ladko ke diye gaye. Purush jivan kathin hai. (The blood-sucking mosquito is female, but they’ve been given male names. Life is hard for men.)”
“She is indirectly roasting all men,” said another user. Another wrote, “The Riyal Death Notes”.
