Bobby Deol recently shared some heartfelt thoughts about his colleagues Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan. Over the years, Bobby has had the privilege of witnessing their unique personalities firsthand.
Shah Rukh Khan: A True Gentleman
When it comes to Shah Rukh Khan, Bobby Deol has nothing but admiration. Speaking about his relationship with the Bollywood superstar, Bobby expressed, “Shah Rukh Khan is a great guy. I have been more in touch with him recently because somehow we meet at events. He is a very caring person. When you reach a level of stardom and yet you are so amazing as a person, that is one quality I think every actor who is aiming to start their career should not get lost with all the success and glamour.”Salman Khan: A Blessing for All
Bobby’s admiration for Salman Khan is equally profound. Reflecting on his relationship with Salman, Bobby stated, “Salman Khan is something else only. He is like a blessing. Not only me, any actor you ask, they will just have good things to speak about him. He is just all heart and he just wants to help everyone he can.”
For Bobby, Salman represents more than just a colleague in the film industry; he sees him as someone with a heart of gold, always ready to help others. Bobby recalls his early days in the industry and how he never felt a sense of competition with Salman. “I never found competition between us. Before I started my career, I was practicing horse riding, bike stunts and all that on the beach. His first movie had become a blockbuster. I remember he would be normal on the beach. He would come and do horse riding and bike stunts with me. He was like someone who is just chilled out. That is how I met him.”
For Bobby, the essence of healthy competition lies in discipline and hard work, not manipulation. “You should be competitive in a way that you should be disciplined and work hard. That is the only way. You cannot go backstabbing people. I don’t believe in manipulation. I only believe in manipulating myself healthwise and my belief,” he explained.
The Iconic Shirtless Moment for Race 2
In his candid conversation, Bobby also reminisced about a memorable moment on the sets of Race 2 when Salman Khan asked him to remove his shirt for a scene. Bobby admitted, “I was really shy and I never believed in, you know, having these bare body sequences. But at that point, I was ready to do anything and everything to get noticed by the audiences.”
