Randeep Hooda, known for his versatile roles in films like Love Aaj Kal and Highway, recently surprised fans by announcing his marriage to Lin Laishram in a traditional Maitei ceremony in Imphal. Randeep Hooda’s Marriage Journey
Randeep, busy promoting his film Jaat, shared insights into his marriage with Lin. He explained that he had never considered marriage before meeting Lin, as he had reservations about bringing someone into a difficult world. However, their paths crossed, and he is now glad he made the decision to marry, joking that his delay was due to not having a “government job.”Overcoming Cultural Barriers
The actor opened up about the challenges he faced due to cultural differences when marrying Lin, who is from Manipur, while he belongs to a Jaat family. Although he doesn’t believe in caste distinctions, his family initially struggled with the idea of him marrying outside his caste. Over time, the opposition faded.
Wedding Amidst Unrest
Hooda also shared details about his November 2023 wedding to Laishram in Manipur, during a time of unrest due to tribal clashes. Despite the challenges, he wanted the wedding to take place in Lin’s home state, honoring her family’s culture. To ensure safety, the couple had more security personnel than guests, keeping the ceremony intimate and avoiding burdening the bride’s family.

From Friendship to Love
The couple first met through Naseeruddin Shah‘s theatre group, ‘Motley,’ where Randeep was Lin’s senior. Their friendship later blossomed into love. Fans noticed their relationship when Randeep posted a picture with Lin on her birthday in 2021. After living together during the pandemic, they married in a traditional Maitei ceremony on November 29, 2023.
