The National Testing Agency (NTA) has wrapped up Day 4 of the JEE Main 2025 Session 2 exam for Paper 1 (BE/BTech). The remaining three days of the April session are scheduled for April 7, 8, and 9. NTA will conduct Paper 1 (BE/BTech) on April 7 and 8, while Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlanning) will be held on April 9. The April 7 exam is being conducted in two shifts — Shift 1 from 9 am to 12 noon and Shift 2 from 3 pm to 6 pm. Check paper analysis for both shifts below:

Physics
The Physics section was easy to moderate. Most questions were numerical and formula-based. Important chapters included Mechanics, Modern Physics, Electrostatics, Ray Optics, and Units & Measurements. There were no questions from Fluids, Wave Optics, or Electromagnetic Induction. While a few questions needed careful calculations, most were direct and scoring.
Chemistry
Chemistry was the easiest of the three subjects. Many questions were statement-based and simple. Organic Chemistry had the highest weightage, followed by Inorganic, and Physical Chemistry had the least. Questions from Chemical Kinetics and Solutions appeared in Physical Chemistry. Most theory questions were directly from NCERT, and numerical problems were limited.
Mathematics
Maths was the most difficult and time-consuming section. Topics like 3D Geometry, Vectors, and Conic Sections had more questions, while Matrices and Calculus had fewer. Many problems were lengthy and calculation-heavy, making time management a big challenge.

Physics
The Physics section leaned towards the easier side but did feature a fair share of moderate-level problems. The majority of questions were numerical and formula-driven, requiring precision and quick recall. Mechanics, Units & Measurements, Electrostatics, and Optics were the dominant topics. Interestingly, there were no questions from Electromagnetic Induction (EMI), and only a few from Oscillations, Waves, Magnetism, and Thermodynamics. Some calculations were a bit time-consuming, but nothing overly complex.
Chemistry
Chemistry was the most easy section. A significant number of straightforward, statement-based questions made this part relatively quick to attempt. The paper covered nearly all topics, with Organic Chemistry leading in terms of weightage, trailed by Inorganic. Physical Chemistry appeared minimally, with a few questions on Chemical Kinetics and Solutions. Most theory questions were lifted directly from the NCERT, and even Physical Chemistry leaned more toward theory than math-based problems.
Mathematics
Mathematics demanded the most effort, in terms of time. While the questions were fairly distributed across chapters, topics like 3D Geometry, Vectors, and Conic Sections received the most attention. In contrast, Matrices and Calculus saw lighter coverage. Many problems were calculation-intensive, making time management a critical factor. For many students, this section was the most exhausting.
