Indian Racing Carnival on April 5 and 6


: The third edition of the Indian Racing Carnival, sponsored by Mr. Zavaray S. Poonawalla & HPSL, set to conclude the Mumbai racing season 2024-25 is scheduled to be held at the Mahalaxmi racecourse on April 5 and 6.

The carnival will feature 14 multi-million races with the finest equine talent from across India. More than 20 outstation horses will vie with western India’s top contenders for a combined prize money of over ₹3.5 crore.

The C.N. Wadia Gold Cup (Gr.2) powered by Mr. Zavaray S. Poonawalla, Maharaja Sir Harisinghji Trophy (Gr.3) powered by HPSL, and Zavaray S. Poonawalla Sprinters’ Challenge will have no entry fee or forfeit.

A special point-based championship will be also be held over 10 select races where the champion owner, trainer, and jockey will receive ₹1 lakh each, while the champion stud farm will get a special trophy.

There is free entry for members and ladies where they can enjoy shopping, food, flea market, games, contests, live entertainment and also use the bar.

There are prizes like smart TVs and android phones for those who place a minimum bet of ₹500 in the win pool across six nominated races. There is also a ₹5 lakh cash prize for correctly predicting the first four placings in the C.N. Wadia Gold Cup.
